Nokia Tube – Can it Really Beat the Iphone?
Well according to Nokia, no! They say, it’s just a music phone, XpressMusic 5800, with touch screen capabilities. But since its introduction, Nokia Tube has taken the world by storm and looks like, it’s also going to rule the roost of touch phones arena with its more affordable price range and exquisite features compared to its counterparts.
Consisting of a 3.2MP camera with Carl Zeiss optical lens and autofocus, plus dual LED flash, it also comes integrated with an excellent touch screen that makes browsing content and even uploading pics online in Flickr much easier. You can just play with your fingers to scroll across different menus! It comes with 5th edition Symbian S60 and sports awesome display with haptic feedback and a 16 million color TFT LCD of 640 × 360 pixel resolution. Even the stylus is included with the phone, which can be used with hand writing recognition software and right now Tube has already been programmed to support 50 languages worldwide!
Tube comes with wide range of communication facilities, like quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio with 3G UMTS/HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, and some built-in GPS. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, TV-out port and comes with an onboard memory of 140 MB RAM. Already out in some parts of the world and still expected on first quarter of 2009 in other parts, there are speculations about its pricing.
According to Nokia, Tube will be sold without any carrier plans, so you can compare cell phone plans and pick the best one that suits your needs. You can also choose among different cell phone plans and go with the one that best suits your new 5800 Tube. Nokia Tube looks like a phone that has everything in it. Gotta wait and watch whether it proves itself or not.
