Why you should buy the Apple iPhone 3G
The iPhone is a 3G touchscreen phone incredibly friendly. It includes many powerful features such as GPS navigation, OS X applications, web browsing faster, Apple celebrates the music capabilities of the game, up to 16 GB of onboard memory, and Wi-Fi support. When the iPhone was introduced, I think it's tempting … very, very tempting. But enough features and capabilities were missing from Apple offers cellphone initial I held off on buying one.
I was not alone in waiting, but that does not mean the first generation iPhone does not sell not good. In fact, the iPhone moved 6 million units worldwide, well enough to make Apple extremely competitive phone market intelligent.
Regardless whether you stood in line on launch day or you chose to sit in the first round, today's announcement probably got your attention. He certainly talking everywhere. Apple is once again in the spotlight, and has everything to do with the iPhone 3G available to society revealed today. If you are in the queue when the iPhone 3G will be available July 11? Read more.
1. Price
The original Dell Inspiron E1505 battery iPhone was innovative and revolutionary. He also been an expensive toy. Of course, throughout the country both technophiles and the masses lined up to get the original iPhone, but at $ 599 and $ 699 for models 8 and 16, respectively, the public has been fairly limited. Over time, the model prices declined and the spread reputation device, the iPhone has raised more than steam. But even Jobs himself admitted that about 50 percent of respondents who did not Bought an iPhone said they did not because of price.
With a price drop of the Apple iPhone, announced today you pay significantly less money at the front at the time of purchase: The 8GB iPhone will sell $ 199, barely one third of the price 4 GB iPhone sold for at launch a year ago. The 16GB model will sell $ 299.
Those prices put Apple's smart phone in the scope consumers more than ever. Only four handsets on our current Top 10 Smartphones – Palm Centro ($ 100 with a Sprint contract, $ 200 with a AT & T contract), T-Mobile's Shadow ($ 200 with contract) and Dash ($ 150 with contract), and RIM BlackBerry Pearl ($ 150 with a T-Mobile contract) – cost cheaper than the cheapest iPhone. And the iPhone 3G, with its integrated video player, web browsing and GPS, offers far more versatility than any which of these phones competitors.
2. 3G browsing speed
One of the biggest drawbacks of using a mobile dell vostro 1500 phone battery for Web activities is the latency. Like point-and-shoot digital cameras frustrate their users with a shutter lag endless cell phone users roll their eyes how long it might take for a Web page to load.
The iPhone first generation, notably omitted 3G wireless in favor of the more widely available – EDGE connectivity – and significantly lower. A year later, 3G seems even more necessary than ever, as Web pages grow more graphically intensive.
Now that the iPhone 3G was unveiled compatible, it is difficult to imagine a return to not having 3G. According to Apple, Web pages load up to 2.8 times faster. It's a compelling argument: I waited for what seemed like hours to a page of PC World Shopping price comparison for load on my old EDGE-based Treo when I went shopping in a store, example. I prefer to obtain information earlier than I want, rather than twiddling my thumbs and reaching for a cup of coffee.
Unfortunately, 3G wireless service on AT & T has one catch: the AT & T Wireless Plans for the iPhone 3G will follow the structure of society standard pricing, which means you will pay for whatever pricing plan you choose more than AT & T unlimited 3G data services ($ 30 per month personal use, $ 45 per month for professional use). Individual users will see their bill jump $ 10 iPhone.
3. International support increased
From a multilingual keyboard that you can change on the fly with a removable SIM card, the user (an ejector SIM card with the iPhone 3G), new features of this model make it much more viable for international use. Whether you need to access the Web while overseas, or you want to swap your SIM card (presumably, after an undetermined period of time, AT & T offers its customers unlock the phone for international use, the company has enabled its more standard phones), this model is better than the original.
4. Applications Galore
Based on what I saw at the WWDC Keynote, Apple NB-1LH battery approach to application development may pay a hundredfold. Developing applications appears simple, limited only by the constraints the imagination of developers. Distributing the software through iTunes is genius – turning to a single repository to obtain the content is much easier that scour the Web random Symbian, Palm, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry or applications you can download.
I have a huge potential for useful – and downright fun – applications out of the development process now that the SDK for the iPhone is available. The potential for future applications, coupled with existing programs for the iPhone – the iPod video and audio, photo album, e-mail easy, its applications Google Maps and YouTube – Is the iPhone 3G a unique offering in the mobile world.
5. iPhone: Still at the head of the class
A strange thing happened in the last year: For all the hype, all the assertions that the iPhone was a game-changer, the truth is, nothing really changed the landscape of the world of cell phones in the past year. It's almost as if Apple is so ahead of its innovation and thought he had a seemingly insurmountable lead over its competitors and is in a field of its own as a result.
Reality is no so-called iPhone killers are not far to challenge the iPhone media manipulation and ease of use. This may change in the months come, several cellular phone providers introduce updates to their lines (RIM, for example, is rumored to work on a screen interface touch, although its next flagship model, the BlackBerry Bold does not have a touchscreen). In the meantime, however, Apple will just be based its solid advance.
Admittedly, not everyone want – or need – to buy an iPhone 3G. On the one hand, the iPhone update long-awaited 2.0 software enabling the App Store for downloading applications, announced earlier this year, will be free to all owners of First generation iPhone.
In addition, some people may want to keep upgrading the equipment more important, as extra storage space, a better camera, or other material rewards hitherto unsuspected.
I queue for an iPhone 3G. Or I can be patient and wait for the next big thing – which for me would be inclusion of features such as 32 GB of memory.
