Cracked iPhone Screen Question?

I dropped my iPhone 3G on the ground, and the spider webbed screen. I want it replaced by a third party, but this void my AppleCare Protection Plan? Also, I can take my phone to Apple and show them my screen is cracked, and ask them to take notes so that when the phone crashes later, they can not hold me responsible for the failure? Thank you.

Put in your own custom screen damage warranty. Do not worry! Changing the screen is very easy and makes no difference. If you took the hard drive (memory) so you can get in a hole, but to change the screen should not be a problem.
