Problem with BMW 335i 2011?

Hello everyone! I come from a new car and it comes with the iPod and I tried to plug my Ipod in it for the first time yesterday and I ran a few problems and hope someone here can help me. 1. I plugged my iTouch and it's like the system does not recognize at all, the workforce has been flashing the iPod connected / not connected on the screen and after 30 seconds as the screen in my car says "USB device not recognized. Is there a setting I can access from the screen to make it recognize it as an iPhone? 2. So I thought it might be so I ITouch tried to connect a Nano and after loading a list came up with about 20 songs and they played very well. . . But I have more than five hundred songs on the iPod, why did he only play these twenty years?

I had a similar problem with my 07 x5, it recognized my ipod but not my iphone. I had a new cord for my iphone and now works fine. system different from yours though.
