Can I jailbreak my iPod Touch 2nd Generation firmware 3.1.3?
I’m a mac user, and one day my iPod was left plugged in and it automatically upgraded from the 3.1.2 to the 3.1.3 firmware. The model of my iPod Touch is PB533C, so I’m not sure if that’s the MC model or not. Because I’ve tried many methods for jailbreaking the iPod Touch 2G 3.1.3 and all methods say the model can’t be a MC model.
I tried jailbreaking my iPod Touch by using redsn0w 0.9.2, 0.9.3 and 0.9.4. I also tried PwnageTool 3.1, 3.1.4 and 3.1.5. However, all these tries just lead to an iTunes error of 1600 or saying that “The request does not match the build” or something like that.
I’ve also tried downgrading to the older 3.1.2 firmware, but that never worked.
Does anyone know a way to jailbreak the iPod Touch 2G 3.1.3, i don’t need the iPhone because that’s what always comes up when i Google this.
Any help would be deeply appreciated!
Thanks!
Yes, in fact you should be happy, coz your model starts with PB, while those which can’t be jailbrokeb start with MC in their model name. Mine, unfortunately is MC, and Apple screwed me over!!! Anyways, all you have to do is downgrade your device to 3.1.2 firmware, which you can Google search and download anytime, and then jailbreak it using blackra1n.
