Is jailbreaking the iPhone 3G even possible?

Can you jb 3.1.3 baseband 12/05/2001? I tried everything and nothing works. Just when I thought snowbreeze doing his thing I have errors 1600 and 1604, even with the fix for this error, it still comes up. Im wondering if its even possible?

You can, but once you do that, you can not get updates for the phone or something like that and there is no way for it too. With mine, I used cydia
