Why suddenly won’t my iPhone and iPod sync via USB on my WinXP machine?
I have been using my iPhone and iPod via USB on my WinXP machine with no problems. As of a few days ago, I could not get either of them to connect via the USB cable. I have tried a different cable for the iPhone and iPod, no luck. I have tried other USB devices in the computer (printer, USB flash drive) and they work. I have tried the iPhone/iPod on a different computer and they work on that computer. I tried removing all USB controllers in Device Manager and restarting the computer, doesn’t work. I strongly suspect a Windows Update has caused this as all was fine a week ago. Any suggestions, or others with this problem?
uve had this same problem!!
click on ‘start’ then ‘run’
type this in:
services.msc
and u should see your ipod on the list click it and try like stopping the device to sync automatically and then if that doesnt work try like restarting there is a button that sayd restart device
basically i just clicked around on it
and it worked agian
Good Luck!!
If this doesnt work then go onto Apple website and search around in the help area
