Ipod?? Iphone? that could i get it?

Well, I was considering buying an iPhone in the United States, but doubt it will be able to work here (Nairobi / Kenya) and it can even get locked because there is still no official itunes store where I could get applications. Is there a way I can unlock the external control and application usage usa transferred to another country? or I'm thinking of an i-pod. do I get the touch or that one is better? is the memory of 16 GB is worth the price though? or should I take another model of the i-pod. if you Please help me decide. try to include advantages and disadvantages. thanks

for me, I'll stick to an iTouch in Indeed, even if it has fewer features, if you have an iPhone and start playing with the fun stuff, you probably will not get much life of the phone battery and stuff, but it's your decision, you can take our advice to help you choose, but it is always your choice
