Help jailbreaking iPhone? Need to restore.?

I just used the jailbreak redsnow 0.9.6b, unfortunately I do not update iPhone to 4.1 in advance. Now I'm stuck on a black screen with the apple broken about this. How do I restore previous or go to 4.1 from here? ITunes does not recognize the device, but I saved a restore. Is there a program to restore the previous bone or something like that. any ideas?
