How to update iPhone to a specific firmware?
I have a jailbroken, unlocked 3G still works on 3.0, but I want to upgrade my firmware 4.0.1. I downloaded 4.0.1 but when I try to execute it; itunes directs me to the last Version 4.0.2 firmware is, and it wont give me the opportunity to choose the firmware I want. If I restore my phone it says it will also update my phone with the latest firmware, the problem is that no one yet jailbrake to 4.0.2, is there a way to circumvent iTunes? Another thing when I open Cydia it says I SHS on the file to the iPhone all the way up to 4.0.1, I do not know if it important or not.
Right to search for firmware of the iPhone in google. Download it if you are not using Internet Explorer sees it as a file zip. Open iTunes and Shift and click the update that should allow you to navigate to the one you downloaded. there you go
