Motorola Droid vs iphone?
I have an iPhone, and lets be honest, Apple likes to restrict what happens on it. I have prison break the right thing to do what I want. I went to a Verizon store yesterday playing with the new phone by Motorola Droid with google and I loved it. other Android phones with which I played was slow, but I was impressed with his speed and ability to perform multiple tasks and ability to change the batteries and add a micro SD card up to 32 concerts. I found the touchpad easy to use and the physical keyboard. I think I'm just curious to see what real owners think droid. (I do not really need feedback on the iPhone … I do not like something) suggestions / comparisonss would be great. thank you!
I love the phone! Here are some things you want knowledge (good and bad). Keep in mind that I'll probably list many more negative things because I prefer to be biased in this way than being called a fanboy. Advantages 1. The screen is very nice, bright, high resolution. It is not as prone to stains my old phone because it features a capacitive screen. One way, you'll notice is the form of application icons for them and have a background, so you can really see the edges clearly. The text is very legible even at small sizes. 2. The touch screen is AWESOME! I have to say that is 100 times better than the LG Dare that I had before (which I think was always very good). You do not know if you notice the difference from the iPhone but it is very responsive and accurate (except occasionally when selecting links on a web page cluttered. zooming further correct the problem.) 3. Apps! I like having so many options to customize this phone! Phone does not? Find one on the Android Market. Applications (Useful) I have a file manager, the graphing calculator, GBA emulator, Google Docs app, a client of free visual voicemail, and a program super customizable text messaging (Handcent). In addition I also integrated in the software maps, and a Killer App and a widget from the battery. 4. Menu Home with multiple shortcuts. I have three menus at home (there are applications for more) where I put my most frequently used applications or the ones I just want quick access to a hotline and few contacts (which recalls the favorites menu on the Dare) 5. Browser is fast, highly functional, can have several windows open at once. 6. Contact integration with Gmail / Facebook is invaluable to me. 7. Notification system is very clever. 8. Keyboards. I've never sent a text message very quickly, but hardware keyboard hthe mind, I can type at 20 words per minute ~ (I have an application to test it!) Virtual keyboards are good too, as they have really good error correction and word prediction. I can not really use it in the portrait! Cons 1. Battery life sucks. I think that's mainly because I used really intense (I used it today sparsly and it is 40% (around 16 hours)) but I killed him, he charged at the full life and almost killed again in a day before. 2. Keyboard material that is not great. I've seen keyboards that are much better, ie more space, better shape / contour, etc.. but I find it very useful especially because it opens up more screen real estate as well. 3. The camera takes too long to take photos, auto-focus leaves much to be desired. Disappointing but overall not really "bad." Maybe a lto better if, in the hope of software update to solve this problem. 4. 4 buttons down the bottom of the screen does not include a send or end key. Not a huge con but a little confusing. 5. map software can sometimes be very bad. 6. No flash player! Come on! 7. Music player is very bland. Not huge until you consider the total lack of any EQ and synchronization software. It adds kind of place. Not a huge deal if you can drag and drop, but the memory is just slow, it causes a program (class 2 micro SD card) 8. It connects to my Wi-Fi, but does not seem to work. Maybe just my network, maybe not. 3G is still faster. 9. Not all applications in the store are compatible with Android 2.0, lots not yet optimized. In fact, I have a program that will force me to turn the phone off (crash) as it does not run on Android 2.0 The Droid works on 2.0, which is the most recent operating system Android. I tried to look at the iPhone as little as possible so that you can judge on its own merit. If you just try it, you can see for yourself which you prefer. Hopefully this will help you know what to look for
