Formated Comp -> iTunes Playlist -> External Hard Drive?
I always had my music on my external hard drive, i formatted my computer the other day and now redownloaded itunes. I began again the position of my external hard drive and after importing the xml itunesmusiclibrary it listed in iTunes all my songs. The only problem is, it does not quite add my old playlists. I have an iPhone that can not have music on it using autosync, and one of the playlists was used to my iPhone music. (Nearly 8G worth of songs) .. If synchronization without i the list that will wipe my phone clean and it will take AGES for me to redo the list. … Where is hidding my playlist? I know where is the folder iTunes, I moved to my external hard drive myself. This is the only playlist file that appears to have been lost.
Your file iTunes must be located in ~ / Music. You can put your iTunes Music folder otherwise well. Place all of your iTunes folder, including the iTunes library, but without iTunes Music folder in ~ / Music. Then set the path to your iTunes Music folder in Preferences. Although this should be sufficient to connect your music to your library, I recommend that you select "Consolidate Library" from the Advanced menu later to clean things.
