The debate on the iPhone
While I devote a section to the iPhone when it was announced, I have not touched on since. Until my Sony camera broke a few weeks back and for what seems like an eternity while I wait for repaired, I was left with a four year old girly pink clamshell phone Samsung borrowed off my sister's girlfriends.
The fact I am now using a handset I'm afraid to use in public for fear of ridicule has somehow made me appreciate to what extent a statement of your mobile phone allows your subject; similar to the watch on your wrist or shoes on your feet. While I have never looked at it as particularly important and would never advocate live your life through the perspective of others, I doubt I could ever get to wear won a watch by a arcade machine or grab a pair of plastic sandals on my feet.
I am becoming worried about how to carry itself with this pink monstrosity of a primary school girl would be ashamed of myself psychologically and scored to get my own iPhone, Apple now seems more more tempting, if for no other reason than the cancellation of these new rumors about my sexuality.
Some close friends have recently invested get an iPhone while everyone and I can not forgive the hideous smirk that appears whenever the excuse to get the phone in public one can not deny that it seems to be a desirable piece of kit. If by chance you've never seen one, the iPhone is a mobile telephone handset which, instead of the standard screen and keyboard combination, it simply has a large touch screen and guide you your way by pointing, tapping and sliding your fingers on the intuitive menu system.
If the first was very innovative 3G version released a few months back does add a certain number of improvements to the original. Although just as beautiful and slim, the characteristics of the new model:
– 3G support provide the phone with much faster transfer speeds of data if a 3G coverage area
– Updated software providing some number of bug fixes and new third party applications
– Revised headphone jack, a huge problem for users of the original iPhone, is that many standard headphones would not fit in the recessed headphone jack, which presents a huge problem since the phone is for primarily to users who appreciate a convergence of traditional mobile phone and a music player iPod
– A GPS receiver so you can easily see your position and its surroundings on the screen and for directions to the desired location without any hardware or additional software.
There are a variety of tweaks and fixes that Apple has implemented for this version (in my opinion) do not reason enough for those who have an original iPhone to upgrade immediately, not make the idea more attractive to those who have not already one. Unfortunately it still costs a fortune on a pay as you go tariff, but the 8GB version is free on several exclusive contracts O2. I never been mandated to recommend a pay as you go customers spend £ 350 on this handset, but if you're on a contract anyway and can get the unit, either discounted or free, you'll have plenty of technology for your money.
I am now almost 30 and the Apple product I bought was a small second hand iPod plugged into my car so I'll wait to see what Nokia has recently announced G1 Tube and Google combined with touch screen have to offer.
